Demystifying Technology
Proposal for a 6, 12 or 18 week course in a guided exploration of the Smartphone, and using the same concepts, building their own microcontroller-based project (12 and 18 week formats).
Objectives:
• To foster a strong sense of curiosity that learns through failure
• To restore or enhance confidence in the ability to learn
• To experience a culture that fosters "dumb" questions without judgement
• To identify a true area of interest in each student, even if that is non-technical.
• To aid in focusing the student’s next academic goal or goals. For instance, a work-shadow “date”, gap year objective and plan, or undergraduate university major.
